It can even analyze your driving habits, past routes, and destination history to suggest the best route to your destination—and AI can notify you of changes in traffic conditions in real-time while suggesting the best alternate route.

Navigation

Rather than pulling over to enter a destination into your GPS, it is much easier to simply say where you’re going or ask for the fastest route to your destination, whether a specific destination or the point of interest that’s nearest to your current location. Natural language processing enables a vehicle’s AI solution to understand and respond to the driver’s words and intentions, so they can issue navigation commands to the GPS without slowing down.   

Infotainment

It’s worth noting that realizing the full potential of in-car voice assistants may require more advanced AI technologies such as Natural Language Understanding and Automatic Speech recognition—and in some of these cases, drivers may need a wireless hotspot.  


Mercedes is one automotive company pushing the limits of the in-cabin experience with some very advanced, forthcoming features.
